Dr Gian Urbani

Dr. Gian Urbani has been an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist since late 2001 after he qualified at the University of the Free State in South Africa. He then relocated to Western Canada where he developed broad generalist skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the next 8 years and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

In 2011 he, together with his wife and two children, moved to Joondalup to join the Department of O&G at the Joondalup Health Campus. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2012. Following this he then completed the Master of Reproductive Medicine program through UNSW, Sydney and then joined Fertility North as a consultant. He is still active in the public health system and enjoys teaching. This includes teaching both didactical lectures and surgical skills in a small team setting.

He has been actively delivering fertility services in association with Fertility North but does not offer private obstetric services. He enjoys being part of the joint surgical team offering advanced endometriosis and pelvic surgery at Joondalup Health Campus.
